Liam Fray: The Courteeners

Liam Fray: The Courteeners

If you don't know who the luscious babe named Liam Fray is, now you do. With his Johnny Marr traditional Mancunian haircut, which is only rarely pulled off well, the Fray (Liam not the band) and the Courteeners (his band) are one of the best Manchester bands of today's rock/indie scene. I mean proper indie and notes of rock. What you would you call The Smiths or Joy Division genre, they were pretty rock n roll, minus the motorbikes and studs, the softer side of rock we called indie, but with shorter hair and better music than that say the kooks or the wombats.

It might just be me coming from such a scumbag city that I have therefore learnt, bit of psychology behaviourist for you there, that I am attracted to all bristl  lads things from the North West in clean gear (clothing). Or it just might be that we could mumble to one another and perfectly understand each other.

I'm asked far to many times to repeat myself when I go to London, haha I am very sorry. I drop my ts and if I can reduce the amount of times I open my mouth to talk, I will. I will also try and remember to refer to boys as boys, not lads. I say try. If you're familiar with Shameless I'm 20 minutes away from Gorton so life isn't to bad but I will guarantee that I will say 'do you know what I mean' at the end of eveything, I'll start every sentence with 'right' and say 'party' in a very funny, very catchy and very amazing way.

There are the glossy images above from photoshoots but I prefer mr Fray looking pretty gormless and nothing more than Northern. The photo below was at the GMEX gig in Manchester in December 2009 which I was at! Best gig I've been too. Back to the music.......

I must admit I've not been listening to their new stuff but I'm catching up on tumblr as I type. It turns out I have actually been listening to them all along just without realising it. They have a new sound and I like it. It's more softer than their original work but still as ever intelligently constructed, both lyrically and composed.

My mate Joseph has been to see them in the XFMs radio sets, or whatever it is I will have to ask him, won a chance to watch them play live in their London radio station then hang around with them in the after party. Theres like 20 people including the band and half of them work there, small crowd. Imagine sharing air.. never mind. So yeah he won it last year, and hes only gone and won it again for this year lucky sod. Very much doubt I'll be getting a plus one invite on that!

Photos from Joe and Sam thank youuuuuu

If you've not been intrigued by the Courteeners already or by this post go and listen to them now. I recommend Acrylic and Not Nineteen Forever just because they're lovely to listen too - see below!

What do you think of the Courteeners music? Have you heard of them before? Do you like his hair? Let me know..!

Street Style: Notting Hill

Notting Hill and street style!

I found this lad here in Notting Hill rather eye catching as he has no shame wearing black socks and white shoes in public, I salute him. I love a roll of a jean which he also has perfected to elongate his already tall stature.

As you can see here together are some of girls at the LCF short course while we were there! I'm pretty sure we all stopped and gasped at this very glamorous couple. The lady looks like the model from the Chloe campaigns. No socks, straight leg jeans with a flash of the ankle, high waists for the ladies (see not all high waisted jeans have to be navy!) buckles, browns, stripes and sheer blouses. Werq!

Meet Leg; a Polish builder working on the shop to the left. I kindly asked for a photograph whilst he was on his break, not the cigarette in hand. After just visiting Pepe Jeans I was intrigued at the wear of his jeans and realised people pay good money for a print like that. With Leg's quiff and Portobello check shirt, hes right bang on trend. I'm always admiring passers by and I thoroughly believe that capturing adults apposed to students in street style photography, is just as captivating!

Enjoy some of my images of Notting Hill and Portobello market snapped on the way back to Holborn.

Everywhere you looked there were classic cars and motor scooters everywhere. It was like being in a Roger Moore 007 film shot in Venice!

There are so many vintage/antique stores, colourful brick works and classical music player buskers! I doubt you will be asked if you like RnB whilst walking to the shop here.

Note the traditional architecture, there were cobbles to, contrasted with modern contemporary styles sandwiched next to one another. Around Notting Hill you are surrounded with neutral, earth, pastel and terracotta tones.

blinkered

Sometimes I get caught up by myself, comparing myself to others, my looks, my style, my interests, my friends, my face, my ability it's so hard to pick myself up from it. I can't speak on behalf of anyone else but myself. I doubt everything about myself even down to the way I talk.

I don't know why I do this it's not that often as it used to be but it still happens. Its a battle of confidence, being happy within myself and being happy for others instead of thinking I should be where they are now, wearing what they're wearing, not eating, talking to their friends, posting tweets how 'I'm walking home alone at 6am'. I suppose this is how they deal with there lives, not everything everybody says is the truth. Retreating into my shell isn't really a good way of dealing with it, but neither is walking alone at 6am.

No ones perfect it's fact, its just waking up and realising I only have one life and its what I make it. But peoples opinions of me matter, so I makes me doubt, compare and so it starts again. Its almost as if I need someone to tell me no one cares, do what you want everybody else does.

Do they? Do you? How do you wake up realise you're worthy of living your own life, not what you think somebody else's is doing?

I watched this and it helped. She helps. Shes helping everyone.

Another issue that's really bugging me is sexuality. Just because I don't sloth about over boys everybody else fancys doesn't mean I'm incapable of a relationship, it just means I'm private. Just because I admire what someone is wearing doesn't mean I fancy them. Don't judge me just because I see you for what you really are. Which is usually an ordinary boy, with a quiff and too much product, wearing chinos wrong and shopping in Hollister. Use you're brains for conversation, not bragging about how many girls you pulled in town that night. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Marc Jacobs and I

When I was 16 years old and trying to score my first Christmas temp job, my first ever interview was for Selfridges in Manchester.

After waiting in the winding queue through brisk winds, cold showers and warming suns for 2 hours, which made press see here, I finally made it into the lift where I waited another 40 minutes in my now soaked tights until I was confronted by two ladies at the applicant selection table. I was soon to be turned away but due to my persuasive grimace and 100 miles per hour speech as to 'why I am capable to work here' they let me through with a 'you seem very eager, please wait over there'.

I was in. But that was only the start, what I was waiting for was a test. I had to role play a 'customer and shop assistant' scenario. Baring in mind I was nearly turned away as I've no retail/paid work assistance, it's fair to say, I was bricking it.

I had a rummage trough the rail as to what was available to match up to certain events and overall, it went well for someone with no experience. I was told I had a talent and would do well in retail so I was to apply next year with more of a knowledge on fashion. Don't gasp just yet! I bet you're wondering what Marc has to do with it ain't you?

Well it's because of him I didn't get the job. I failed to realise my shaking hands we're handling a very chic turquoise (think galaxy) Marc Jacobs dress. It was my lack of name dropping, which obviously is the key technique in retail, why I was told to re apply next year. Which I didn't, but I would of, because the week later I bagged a Christmas temp job in Next - on womens/mens and kids - where I stayed for a year.

I only resigned so I could travel the UK in search of Universities and attend open days. Which really paid off as I am now going to be starting at a University I only ever read about. Never in my dreams did I picture myself heading down to London and attending one of the most respected fashion colleges in the world! I'm so appreciative and after my short course where I learnt so much, I'm very eager, just like when I was 16, but with a bit more knowledge.

I'm ready to learn!

What this post was really about was suppose to be a game I play at 2am when I can't sleep. I'm obsessed with this idea of using The Libertines - Don't Look Back in a runway show! I've no idea why but I love the song and I think it would sound exhilarating whilst walked too.

So I found Marcs, which is what got me talking about my Selfridges story, 10 minute long SS10 show on youtube.com and what you do is - you mute the video and strategically play the songs you want, to the show!

It's all about the timing and I get unbelievably excited when it's perfect, or when the model will show a bit of attitude just as the beat kicks in! You're probably thinking I should just go to bed but this is so much fun. Try it yourself and enjoy it!

This is the show to mute but then listen to afterwards! I never listen first, unless I've already seen it online, so then I can compare my music selections to the ones used!

Here are, in order, the songs I would play to the show.
They don't have to fit the theme or style it's just what you want to play!

My advice is: don't think too much about what you want to play with the show, go with your gut because it's funnier if it works well!

A graphics trend

Check out The Shangri-Las - 'Shout'

PiNK
A fluro hot pink has been cropping up over the last six months in a variety of graphic pieces from magazines to the Tate Moderns gallery map. I have scanned in below my dress (behind the MAP) I purchased this week from Camden stables for £10!!!! They were pretty gutted it didn't have a label and were quick to price it up so it's now mine and perfect for GLASTO!

This silver turquozie ring I bagged for £6 on Camden market saved me well over £80 I was charged for a similar one down the road. As you can see, George nail paint taints my finger tips and behind, a smudge pink blur, is the latest issue of LCF's Pigeons and Peacocks.

There's a funny story about Andy Warhol I will save for a later date, you'll understand why. So here is a picture of my style icon, Chloe Sevigny. I've never been into style icons and was asked the other day who mine was. I have chose Chloe because she was that geek in 5th grade (whatever year that was) wearing butterfly clips and dungarees, and still is but with better hair. It's perfect unattainable festival hair that I love!

A cover scan of the latest Pigeons and Peacocks. I've received their past two copies and this has started from 'issue one' perhaps a new editor but until I read it all, it's graphics have changed considerably and I love holding it. Which is what I think all magazines should aim to do. When I buy a magazine, I want to take it with me every where I go, no mater how weightious. I want it on the bus to college and in the park when I should be socialising; like I did with this. (read the cover - it rhymes hehehe)

Here is the perfume I got for Christmas, my little sister and I got one each, we're so grateful. It kind of symbolises our maturity and seriousness in life. A strong scent for a strong, yet pubescent, woman. What do I know. Barry M nail paint, the ring and postcard clue to for a future blog post... HAPPIE LOVES IT on Covent Garden, stay tuuuuuuuuuuned

Another scan of an amazing magazine I'm addicted too. Amazing cover. I think I partially buy POP for the stickers. This issue there are Gillian Wearing Balenciaga stickers I've stuck all over my Graphics book, just to really push my teacher over the edge so everything becomes sadistically humorous (its deadline time, handle with care all art staff or if possible, just stay away!) they're kind of freaky. I backed my book with the new Kings Cross supplement for CSM.

Jarvis Cocker (PULP), myself with a Polaroid camera which needs some film, Morrissey and The Drums, Jonathan and Jacob.

Coachella, how I long

Here are the very best of Coachella's festival styles to inspire and translate into our own festival wardrobes. If I had my way, I would dress like this everyday. But unfortunately I can't. It rains an awful lot and when it snows, it snows. We're thankful when it's sunny in the UK, like now, which is when we avoid the sun tan lotion in order to burn, I mean tan, and slap on the clubmasters.

Did anyone else manage to catch the Coachella live stream on youtube? I watched two of my favourite bands, The Drums and Two Door Cinema Club! I missed Duran Duran and Cut Copy though, gutted.

I would like to go to Coachella one day - who wouldn't!
Whitney Port
Whitney Port

A knot can really add texture to an outfit, or in Whitney's case a simple layered vest. I adore the pink, floral shorts as I have a similar pair I bought from Tesco, I know, for Leeds festival last year. I wore them all the time!

Whitney Port
Whitney Port
Whitney definitely has festival wear nailed, I suppose it helps when you're from sunny LA. The whole Coachella boot as the main footwear is something I would love to try out this year, but I think I might just stick to my Hunters, you know, just in case. White is such a good summer staple it really connotes a boho feel. Whitney's also channeling the monochrome trend by pairing the white lace with black boots. She has the cutest sunglasses and 90's hair you ever did see. So happy I bought a gold chain for my reading glasses now!

Rihanna
Rhianna
Rhianna is wearing a cameo jacket at the night to shield her from the evening festival breezes. The black vest and stone wash denim works well with such a strong pattern.

Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens
I'm loving Vanessa's rebellious streak as it's got to be hard attending the festival she usually goes too with her now ex - but still very hot - boyfriend, Zac Efron. Shes got a carefree, barefoot vibe going on with cute threading denim shorts and a tribal inspired embroidered vest. Theres fringing on the bag and a stiff cocktail in hand, I would have too.

Jamie Chung
Jamie Chung
Huzzah another boot look! (Note: the uber comfy floral shorts) Move aside wayfarer is all about the clubmasters! Whats a festival without a straw hat? If only my hair looked like that 2 days in.

Ke$ha
The third military boot look of this blog, I need to invest in a pair. I'm feeling an underground market pair so it doesn't matter once they're worn in. I'm seeing so much American patriotism on shorts and shirts, I think I will stick with our Union Jack flag in honour of Wills & Kate this season.

Covent Garden, London: Street Style

These are my first ever Street Style Photos of London’s finest hipsters. My main intention was to look for people who wore their clothing instead of allowing their clothes to wear them. From a simple roll up to an added layer, these people worked their clothing. It’s a technique most of us forget to attempt so here are some creative inspirations!

Ella, a Goldsmiths student studying Social Anthropology and Media, may not be into blogging herself but I can bet this isn’t her first style blog photo! A sheer black outfit, the Noisettes quiff and Levis denim jacket sums up London’s casual style. Note the black socks: a cool detail to a one colour outfit!

I spotted Maeve, from Australia (jealous much), behind the counter at Primrose Bakery. I only saw the cute t-shirt knot from the waist up, so I was amazed to see her wearing the leopard print Creepers! Not going to a lie, and there’s proof on here somewhere, I’m not Creepers biggest fan and did actually mock the leopard print pair but Maeve pulls them off sweetly. It almost makes me want to buy a pair…

Fashion Photographer Ben’s quiff and clubmasters caught my eye.  He only uses old school cameras (good lad) and admits he’s reading nothing interesting but was more than happy to have his photo taken.  The roll of a sleeve can really make a difference. This outfit would keep him cool during the heat without sacrificing his style.

The reason I want to go into Fashion

YSL SS08 Campaign: remember those shoes?

In this blog post I can reveal to you the real, subconscious reason as to why I would like to work in Fashion. It's something that sits at the core of my existence. It's shaped my tastes, my interests, my sense of humour and even, my hair.

You maybe familiar, if you are not you should be. It just might be, the greatest thing on this earth; and it's Absolutely Fabulous.

TRIANGLE Manchester

The Manchester fashion sample sale is an event held every Saturday of every month, in Manchester's own Triangle shopping centre.

I have only ever been to the Vintage Threads fair that was held there last year, I'm still waiting for them to return. Nether the less, it was great. I bought a vintage Levis denim jacket and a Ferris Bueller inspired, metallic, jazz waistcoat.

I will attend on the 30th of April photograph some of the stalls, interview some of the stall owners and capture some amazing outfits the shoppers may be wearing! I'm looking forward to it!

Charity shopping!

Taking a leaf out of ELLE collections graphics, I thought I'd scan in todays Charity buys :)

I feel bad I'm just using the Vinyl for my graphics final piece but they're not actually that good but then they kinda are. Me thinks the mighty boosh has had some influence here. Go 1990s grunge

For when I get my Record player, if I can find one... got to be one of the funniest LPs ever

Just because you can't have enough slogan tees.

The Stone Roses

To be or not to be? I Fukushiming hope so! (no disrespect to Japan honest, even if you do slaughter dolphins, the tsunami made me cry and I'm looking into working at my local Red Cross)

Not really a fan of the SUN but this has been the talk of my timeline on Facebook READ ME

The Stone Roses N.M.E. cover 1989
possibly the best cover shoot ever? I'm a huge fan of Jackson Pollock! P.s I did not know John Squire was the avid, amazing, painter - guaranteed post on that!

For my readers out of the UK and perhaps in the UK, the Stone Roses is one of the best perhaps thee best band to come out of Manchester, some say Great Britain. I would be one of those people.

I'm very patriotic when it comes to my home town Greater Manchester therefore the likes of the Stones, Oasis, The Smiths are very dear to my heart indeed. If the Stones were to reform, I'd have to get one of those tickets. No matter how much of a pill fest, me excluded I can't deal with lucozade let alone recreational drugs, think a Prodigy gig where you're asked if you want to buy pills from all angles where you are seated/standing, times 10. This is Manchester.

I really hope this is real. I am so happy to be living in a economical relapsing era where classic old school bands are having to reform just for money making deals. It's great. I've seen the Buzzcocks and will be seeing Madness at Leeds fest this Summer! Both two bands I was brought up listening to constantly.

Where will they play? The MEN? Such a money grabbing venue, but the only one in Manchester large enough for a full scale gig. The Courteeners played there for over £20 but I really doubt the Stones will, I'm feeling £40 which does not look good for my jobless life style. The Apollo? Or should I say the '02' Apollo seen as they recently bought it and gave it a mod con revamp much to our distaste. We liked the fact the sign could of fell on anyone of us at any moment! The classic red and black frontage is no more and now replaced with the conventional blue and white. YUK, nether the less, it's too smaller venue however it may work. I won't even consider the Academy. The Academy's are all great and nice but not fit for a Manchester born, bred, shaped this town band.

If you don't know who the Stones are, you maybe familiar with Ian Brown (Fear?) but this is so much more than that. Have a listen to the best of The Stone Roses.

Obviously its subject to opinion as to what the best of the Stones actually is, but for me I could listen to all 3 of these all day everyday

I for one am holding out on the Happy Mondays return.

Viktor Vauthier

My new favourite Photographer Viktor Vauthier shoots Lazy Oafs SS11 Look Book and the incredible hipster bible Urban Outfitters magazine! Vauthier documents the style of today so we can look back in 20 or so years times and wonder why denim made such a come back and perhaps tusk at the fact we never brush our hair. Or that boys looks like girls, and girls resemble pixies rather than tomboys of the 90s.

Read more on him here........

Here are a few of my favourites Vauthier shot for UO Mag pulled from the UO site. Let these be your muses as to where to go from here in terms of street style. I'm uncovering the gem that is the UO Community, enjoy!

Vauthier uses old cameras from Olymus to Contax but all with a 35mm lens, sorry Picnik, these textures are the real deal. Dammit.

Creepers. Quite possibly the only shoe I'd buy tickets to watch burn. Now in leopard print.

Not being funny but I feel like going Greenpeace on Marlees ass. He actually stabbed that fish there and then, yeah we did it in the cave days but I can't help but think POOR FISH ):

So what do you think? Is it style? I think its controversial style, hold up! I say controversial because it's a mixture of all that was controversial because I see skater, androgyny with a pinch of mod, all references recognised as being controversial, rebelling against conformity. It's a mixture - thats the only way I can put my finger on it at the moment. It's a play off the SS10 denim, which personally I thought was dead, and the rucksack trend I remember topshop exploited so well, we're talking £40 per teeny tiny bag. Its good to see that styles are not being screwed up into the evolution bin never to be seen again, they're being recycled. Go recycling!

TELL EVERYONE THE COVE WATCH THE MOST HEROIC SCENE YOU HAVE EVER SCENE

I watched this not long ago on youtube, I don't know why I remembered too, I saw it on telly and kept meaning to catch it but somehow always missed it.

It's a documentary about the dolphin slaughtering in Japan called the Cove. It's a very moving, well produced documentary with the right amount of brutality and plentiful evidence too back it up with. The ending here to the film is the most moving, heroic scene by Ric O'Barry I have ever seen in my life and I thought I would share it with you. He never stops.

Don't avoid it. It's not nice to see but thats the reason this is still going on today, every September till March. It needs to stop and it will stop. I've donated, have you?

Please donate here and watch below.

The Only Way is Essex

Yes I am a fan of The Only Way is Essex, on ITV2 Sundays and Wednesdays, it's great! It almost fools you into thinking being very brown and permently wearing false eyelashes is OK - well - it is if you live in Essex, apparently.

This is where I found out about the brand AQUA, whome of which I now adore. It was this dress that started it all. It can be bought on ASOS.com for £180, I really love the red one on Lydia but I think if I was to purchase it with the no money and no job I have, it would have to be the black. The red compliments her blonde here and 'sun kissed' skin.

If you're a fan of Lydia and the Only Way is Essex too, check out Lydias style blog here! The Runway Towards The Glamorous Spotlights is where Lydia can post where she gets all of her outfits from reducing the amount of requests on twitter! I think Lydia should post more often on twitter about this blog so she wouldn't get the tweets after each show as I found out from a friend.

I'm going to Glastonbury & Leeds Festival 2011!!!!! :D

My parents have got me Glasto and Leeds tickets for my 18th! I'm so happy! Better than an awkward party, I've had parties in the past they were really great I was a good host making sure everyone was well, having fun, dancing! Couldn't of done it without my parents holding the fort down with the very alcholoic punch, hot pizza and garden chimney :D

So it's festival shopping season time. Thankfully, I've collected a lot of festival worthy things such as my Hunters and rocker ts. I'm going to make a wishlist nevertheless! These are my summer faves

Image 1 of ASOS Star Flower Chiffon Maxi Dress

A lovely floral maxi dress, Ashley Olsen inspired, would look great in a field however I really can't stand polyester and this is 100%. I don't recommend polyester and camping together anyway.

Image 1 of Motel Parrot Sweatheart Dress Image 1 of Traffic People Ruffle Dress Image 1 of Traffic People Silk Satin Belted Dress Image 1 of Traffic People Silk Satin Ruffle Dress
Image 1 of Religion Tiered Broderie Anglaise Dress Image 1 of Firetrap Racer Back Cotton Dress
Jersey dresses, perfect for layering to keep warm at the night and especially breezy for when the sun shines. Available in a rainbow of colours.
Image 1 of Aqua Cape Dress Studded Cowl Back

By Aqua (I found this after the two black ones below and amazed to see this is Aqua! Aqua knows what they're doing. Worthy of a blog post me thinks) This dress is perfect for the midnight raves as it will glow glow glow in the UV light! I am on the look out for a Florance and the Machine like dress as that'd look so cool especially with rave paint splattered over it.

Image 1 of Aqua Sedgwick Dress With Sequin Batwing Sleeves Image 1 of Aqua Warhol One Shoulder Dress With Sequin Batwing Sleeve
Both by Aqua, loving Aqua at the moment! Perfect early evening main staging however when 6 o'clock hits, I will deffo need layers, and lots of them because it gets cold!

UO MUSIC LSTN #7

POP UP LINK

I have listened to UO music before. It's a good way of staying up to date on hipster music minus the hipster. It's where I first heard I blame CoCo who played not long ago and I only realised whilst watching her at Leeds fest. So it is very worthy a listen.

LSTN #7

It's their latest playlist and you never guess whose on there... CUT COPY!

Cut Copy - Hanging on to every heartbeat

I could listen to Cut Copy all day, sometimes I do. They're good days.

SUBMARINE

S U B M A R I N E - Directed by Richard Ayoade

Craig Roberts

Basically Submarine is a one of those go to films to escape into sanity. It's perfect British humour I'm ever loyal too and who else better to Direct it? Richard Ayoade, or also known as Moss, from the IT Crowd.

I went to go and see this film the day it was out even though I was ill! It wasn't showing in my local big cinemas, Cineworld and Showcase, but it was showing at Cornerhouse. The Cornerhouse is a very arty lottery funded house, on the corner of Oxford Road, Manchester. Its walls are completely made of glass looking in on arty professor types drinking wines, coffees lounging on the sofas (if we could still smoke inside it would be the ultimate beatnik place to be) and on to independent exhibitions. I spoke to a lady in there and I'm really considering emailing the head for a exhibit there, how cool would that be! Theres also a cinema showing all types of festival worthy films, documentaries and international movies - without subtitles, what did you expect.

The Cornerhouse cinema has got to be the most comfy cinema I have ever been to. Imagine a shoebox with careful mood lighting and huge red cinema chairs. We missed the beginning of Submarine as we were running from Piccadilly too Oxford Road, not easy, so we wouldn't miss much but neither the less it was amazing. The art direction was perfect, perfect timing, use of colour and the humour never failed to twist my stomach into two. It was hilariously funny. Alex Turner, lead singer from the Arctic Monkeys, soundtrack really was the edible glitter on the cupcake. It's nothing like hes done before but you know it's exactly what he’s always wanted to do. You can listen to it in the video below along with the trailer. This is just my opinion of the film, it's great. Thats all there is too say, I would say go and see it while you still can!

don't you just wish Oliver Tates were real!

To be fair, I did think that the cinema would be packed full of indie kids and hipsters wanting to go and see it because of the Turner soundtrack but I wasn't, it was full of arty adults comatose in their artistic aura in a deep slumber of duffel coats and dry humour. Can't beat it. One couple were so in awe (at the credits...) I had to nudge them to tell them they had dropped a £10 and £5 note on the floor beside their chair, it's always nice helping someone, they were very grateful and sleepily smiley. I always wonder who they could of been, for all I know they could of been owners of massive stately homes and best friends with Warhol, they could of just owned a little cafe or they couldn't of owned anything at all, you just never know. AQUA

I took this on a trip to London and I love it! Really sums up the spirit of Carnaby Street!

No, not the band, unfortunately... the Leeds high street brand designed by Ryan Holliday-Stevens creating futuristic dresses with seamless lines, shapes, materials and colours. It's exactly how we imagine our future uniforms, a lot like Rocky Horror Planet Transsexual Transylvania, but not as scary. Can be found also in the colourful haven that is Carnaby St.

I've got my eye on these two sale pieces for festival pull overs. They will add instant sparkle and elude my fellow campers into believing I spent hours getting ready in my tiny space when really I'd of awoken half an hour ago and will hide my hungover beady eyes behind my UO clubmasters until nightfall.

Taken from AQUA's blog, this is the look we all need to aim for for JUNE, it's eclectic magpie jewelry stealing, sun kissed a bit to much but thats okay skin and very shiny high hair.

Again from their blog, amazing photography for their lookbook, I love the shape on the right, fantastico!

And lastly, we all need a pair of these shoes. I feel they're kicking brogues not just out of the way but over the fence and into the sunlight. AQUA's blog features blogposts from their travels, current events with only a short blurb of text - if any - at the end, which is always good.

Aqua Logo

check out there blog! I'm obsessed at the moment with their cute song of the week feature. Click the logo for a link over there. They're doing something different, it's the right amount of Hipster but so far away from the grunge toxic side. This is clean cut. Smart. Focused. Bright. Hello a futuristic Summer 2011!
