DRUMS/MONEY

The Drums
(Via Tim Chester)

Exclusive new track Money, from the Drums upcoming album Portamento, is streamed via soundcloud thanks to the gods in the NME office featuring it on their website today. It's the same old drums but better. Who'd of thought they could get any better? Oh Johnny.

Money sounds a like Forever & Ever Amen sped up but in a good way which I can't stop listening to.

What an idiot I feel! I didn't spot this gem posted 7 months ago of Jacob interviewing Johnny, the lead, from TWO WOUNDED BIRDS (see last post) I knew TWB would be biggggg.

You can watch it below, enjoy these two lovely men.

1234 SHOREDITCH

The 1234 Shoreditch 2011
1234 Shoreditch has been round for a number of years now and I'm sure I wasn't the only one gutted not to be there. Thanks to the beauty of hash tag twitter feeds I stayed up to date on the festivals events. 1234 featured No Wave esque music at any time of the day such as, Black Lips, Covergirl, Tim Burgess from The Charlatans, CLOUT! and Lydia Lunch. Including many after parties for those who might of missed the best of the day such as IDOL magazine afterparty at El Pasco.

Lydia Lunch on Denton in 1994 discussing on what makes a 'confrontationalist', the imbalance of death and how the power system, specifically men in power, are forms of abuse. We're all being abused. News of the World?

These women look like they're from different eras, with fab legs. I went to a charity shop today and to no avail could I find anything good, I usually do. Perhaps theres a mental block I have to break before I buy clothing not made for the 21st century.

My Photos by
Two Wounded Birds

Two Wounded Birds are an excellent band I caught at the BBC Introducing tent at Glastonbury. They're heavy, always wearing sunglasses and perfectly surf enough to sway to. Check them out.

90s

Until now, I've always disliked the 90s. All that denim, short gelled hair - on girls - and croptops. Hair bunches, lazy stoner guys and Aqua. However I recently can't stop listening to whiny grunge girl bands Veruca Salt, Hole, pairing cute, school girl jumpers, with heavy eyeliner and wishfully searching for a copy of the Face. I've been addicted to my Last.fm account zenning out to my Montell Jordan and Black Box stalking submitted band photographs, mentally planning my shopping list: logo adorned retro sportswear, more black and a new red lipstick; I think my little sister stole mine.

Glasto, Art Show, Wine and Interviews.

WoWWW!!!!

Have I been a busy bee!

ScreenMunch is my friend Lewis during English Language revision sessions! The afternoon of my last exam, I was off to Glastonbury which was very muddy and very hot, but I had a good time dancing to DJs, wondering Shangrila and getting very drunk to Morrissey. Photos soon!

The day after Glasto I was on my way to London, on my own, for an offers day at London College of Fashion. Where I mastered the tube and met lots of lovely people on mine and other courses. We even went for a typical fashion meal, low kcal, non fat, at Snog! It was soo yummy. We then counteracted it by visiting CyberCandy next door but ah well ying and yang. In between trips I soaked up the sun in the garden whilst reflecting the light from my Blackberry screen into the next door neighbours, 8 year old, bratty child eyes, who swears far to much.

After London I was back at Sixth Form starting on the 2 day slog for my Art Show! I painted, stapled, draped, ironed and sweeped. My boards were shoved at the back. But it just so happens on the Private Viewing it was where the biggest crowds were. I made a negative, being at the back, into a positive, where people gathered, asked questions and drank free wine.

Other than that, I've been working on my 30 day shred, had a job successful job interview at a cinema and caught up with friends which went a lot like i.e the last photograph.

see you soon. XXXXXXXXXXX

Neneh Cherry and Henry Holland

As you awoke yesterday, to a very rainy day in June no doubt your Sunday morning was soon brightened by the splash of House of Holland adorning the cover of the Sunday Times Style magazine. Followed by a very trippy video filmed by Mariano Vivanco opening the House of Holland website (also on Vogue) where Eliza Cummings both showcases, whilst perfectly syncs to Neneh Cherry, for the HOH PRE SS12 collection.

There are neon stripes, neon bikinis and indeed, neon chav hats. One boner t shirt, a skeleton bone signature tight and one perfect Halloween skeleton onesie. A onesie I would quite rightly be proud to wear on a night out in Manchester.

I'm so hoping the green is glow in the dark! And look - collars! We're not escaping the girl/boy androgyny button up anytime soon. A look both preppy and cool no matter how much you don't want to look like a hipster.

I absolutely adore this tasseled, striped poncho/jumper. I want it already for Glastonbury. I'm loving the texture on those heels, I've found a new admiration for stripes - and rainbows, for that matter.

Neon stripes paired with black illustrated pieces, red or black lipstick and a bob - so tempting I want to put a bowl over my head right now - minimal effort though the stripes suit it up in a grown up stylish way. However the fun bone motifs and illustrated flowers keep it grounded. It's very modern, not a hint of granny, even with such varied lengths. We finally have the choice. The clothes are fuss free and have a stunning, exciting acid appeal to them different on every girl.

The dress on the cover of Style has got to be one of the most perfect festival dresses in the world. Its colourful, bouncy, fitting and theres just enough material there to keep you warm when the sunsets. Always been a fan of Henry me. Even if I do put holes in my Pretty Polly tights purposely for dramatic effect.

Have a listen Buffalo Stance by Neneh herself. Notice the psychedelic influences of the video?

ASOS Meets (The Drums and CSS!)

ASOS the well known etailer has paired up with the coolest musicians around for a series of videos 'ASOS Meets.' Where we get to find what inspires them, what their style is and who are their favourite bands.

CSS feel clothing should make you feel empowered - especially on stage. Adriano Cintra always found himself wanting to stay in his school uniform all day, his style icon was David Bowie go figure, hes not alone only I used listen to Bowie whilst wearing my uniform, usually in Math class. Luísa Hanae Matsushita aka Lovefoxxx,  loves her make up, it's fun. Lovefoxxx also wants to be naked on stage most of the time. CSS are playing at Manchester Academy in August, I've wanted to seen them for so long!

Ahh the Drums! Johnny is so cute. 'Denim? I wear denim everyday...' As a band the Drums feel it matters what they wear, which is anything pattened in a polo's buttoned to the top style in mustard or beetroot tones paired with dusty jeans. What they wear affects the story of their music, it has to fit. Clothing and music are very important partners.

The Drums music and style are influenced from bands such as the Ramones and the beloved Smiths.
And get this, ASOS are offering 20% off denim when you enter the code: DRUMSDENIM

Image 1 of ASOS Light Wash Slim Fit JeansImage 1 of ASOS Skinny Carrot Jeans

I feel like getting these myself. Link here!

I love how the ASOS videos have the handheld recording effect set in the crackling Nevada Desert home to Coachella (only the coolest festival in the world!)

Now listen to some of my favourite songs from these musicians, look for jeans and happy shopping!

P.s check out ASOS, their online magazine, July issue with Zoe Kravitz (who has to have the coolest rockstar dad on the planet) on the cover, theres also a cute video to watch of the shoot too!
I really love how street fashion is going through a oh so sixties transitional stage and that music is a main influence where anything goes at a festival, shopping vintage is a hobby and clashing prints is an art form.

LeithLate: 10 venues, 2 hours, 1 after party!

LeithLate is like the best of Manchester’s Northern Quarter, Brick Lanes flourishing atmosphere combined with Edinburgh’s infamous cultural character. A one night event, 16th June during Leith Festival, which promises to overload your senses with occasions such as live music, short films and rare vinyl, plus more from 10 venues in 2 hours with 1 after party!

This art event is located across 10 venues around the top half of Leith Walk, between 6pm – 8pm, with one major after party at Pilrig St Pauls Church from 8pm till 11pm! Local artist David Lemm will be designing a map to all participating venues so there’s no excuse not to miss this wonderful opportunity. After all, LeithLate is combining a variety of artists from poetry to dance for one night, resulting in a mix of ideas, fun and spirit running on a very fuzzy, ale haze.

LeithLate was born one night in a pub conversation started by Morvern Cunningham, the event organiser, "LeithLate was an idea that didn't die.” And aren’t we lucky? It’s a fusion of ideas and passions for the arts happening in one place and at one time, welcome to all. Its chance to admire the labours of artists being creative for a living, not just as something they do on the side. This gives people like me, faced with a future of dramatic University debts, comfort that there are events such as this helping other artists, doing something about it and most of all, celebrating creativity.

On the night expect monkey pizza and short films curated by Future Shorts Edinburgh at Brass Monkey Leith. With a sneak preview of The Skinny’s June issue to be spotted and exhibitions from Keith Farquhar at Whitespace Gallery, there also dealings of literature and musical sounds, of Wounded Knee and Blueflint, at Elvis Shakespeare. There’s so much happening in one big melting pot of vibrancy and community that is Leith; minus the eccentrics and if any, only the good kind. Did I mention it’s free? With an after party fee of £4, expect a line-up of PET, The John Knox Sex Club and Sara and the Snakes; a party most definitely not to be missed.

If you want to donate and support the bands, artists and people who made LeithLate come to life, a donations bar will be available or get in contact via email.

For the future of all budding and established artists, help make LeithLate an annual festivity!

LCF BA Catwalk show

We've had the London College of Fashion 2011 MAs it's now time for the BA's with less than an hour till showtime. With models hand picked from the streets and talent blossoming from LCFs walls we're all waiting to see the designers ideas, efforts and creations come to life. At half 6 tune into the LCF website to catch the live viewing!

I love to look at the designers profiles before the shows and pick my favourites.

Angela Brandys designs are eye catching, textural and playful. Perhaps the ultimate definition or eclectic but somehow still elegant. I love these pieces. Especially the lilac coat, not to mention the models hair!

From an influence of sea creatures Yeashin Kim has contrasted vibrant psychedelic colours, only Christopher Kane seemed to execute perfectly until now, with muted coral and seaweed tones. But it works, flawlessly. I really like the simple side pony. Dare I say it Jessie J? In the nicest, most fashionable way.

"Garments from the collection are aesthetically attractive, highly finished whilst creative and breaking the boundaries of sustainable fashion." - Rexy Sung

Rexy Sung Fall RTW 2011
To me Ya-Chiao Rexy Sung did it for me the moment I saw that bag.You wouldn't believe the beautiful details are made up of safety pins and nails from the pavement. Rexy Sung Fall RTW 2011

I'm in love with these pants. I don't like to over use the word wearable, but these actually are. I love the palate the fabrics and the gold embellishments. It's so city chic it makes me want to go out and get a business job just so I can look absolutely fabulous holding my coffee. Though coffee can stay away from these outfits, and will have to actually get a job first.

I'm a sucker for a collar and these are lite enough to button up and pointy enough to take your eye out without an over use of the iron half an hour before you leave.

Rexy Sung Fall RTW 2011

The embellished top is far from fussy, it's warrior women with minimal effort. Plus I've not yet seen a clutch I like that's boxy, beautiful and bold, I have now.

Good luck all and have a fantastic night!

modern rocker girl (save me from revision!)

The modern 'i just got out of bed like this' sort of gal. A secret Topshop lover however whatevers clean and in reach is on, eye liner applied over the night before and yes, she really did just get out of bed with that hair (it's the only way so put that brush down.) Wedge booties from Rick Owens or Ashish, that practically dominate tumblr, the American flag and pure teenage girl angst with a dip dye of grunge creates these teeny, less cool, Joan Jetts; but they're pretty close.

I'm in love with Veruca Salt. A disheveled Morrissey whine with notes of angry girl guitar bashing, perfect.

Happy belated Birthday Morrissey!

22nd May marks the birth date of Manchesters one and only Charming man, Morrissey. A musical wizard, a proud vegetarian and fashion hero - both boys and girls are inspired. Whether it's the jean roll up, the iconic quiff or thick rimmed glasses, hes there, what a ledge.

My friend EMMA allowed me to style her a a boy, hair an all, for my androgynous theme for the final A level Graphics project. She's been referred to as Frankie, from Skins, fair to much for her liking ever since.

My room is in the process of being made in to a grown up room starting with the bed, posh bedding and smooth furniture. This is my Smiths t if you haven't already noticed! As you can tell there is more work to be done such as cool wallpaper and grown up brown paints and alas no more spray painting or printing on my walls, it's for the best.

All credit goes to Opening Ceremony for their amazing love for the man, these amazing photos from Maryam L'Ange, Patrick O'Dell and Su Barber and Paul Sevigny, Ben Cho and Brian DeGraw amazing idea of holding, a now annual, Morrissey party, 'Night of a 1000 Morrisseys'.

My idol Chloë Sevigny is a key player in this event and I imagine has been to every one since 2003. It's amazing to see that Morrissey and the The Smiths have had such huge impact overseas, they're lyrics just never tire and no matter how whiney some people may spit, they're beautiful and I happen to find their songs upbeat that speak to the soul you can't help but not dance too. I always request on the kareoke This Charming Man, it just has to be done.

My Smiths t I bought from Afflecks Palace in town, Manchester. I've worn it to college so many times I've really tried to not get lino printing ink or acrylic on Morrisseys' fod! I really love how you can see the Salford Lads Club in the background.

As I was in my room I thought I'd photograph some of the magazines I've got around my room. Some are very recent, June 2011s, where the Vogue is from 2008.The Dazed is exactly a year old. The May NYLON was with me at the time by the computer that's why it's not here!

The only designer piece I own! A real 80's vintage Givenchy jacket including shoulder pads. It's sooo big but I had to have it so I could wear it with a Morrissey style jean around Camden town!

MAY NYLON 2011

I finally got my first ever issue of Nylon! I'm a true magazine junkie and I must, by now, have at least a copy of every decent magazine on the new stand though I'm always discovering more! I just like to have them to get a feel of what different magazines are like. Some are very formal where some are all about the graphics.

June NYLON is out now but I'm still reading this and mountain of other magazines so whilst I'm trying to save the little cash I have, I think I'm going to cool it on the magazine front and stick to my subs: ELLE UK and Drapers. But I don't read Drapers, sometimes, mostly they stay in their packets. I do get round to them.... I'm just, preoccupied with Rory's hair..?

Overall I'm loving NYLON! Perhaps the name itself a little too much and in true fan girl style, I've been shamelessly carrying it with me EVERYWHERE! At the bus stops, whilst waiting for final piece Photography prints, at break time, night time, CSI time... I just like to hold it and show it to everyone, the normal folk who read Heat and OK. I laughed out loud today at the cover of Heat today, I don't knock gossip magazines, they're vital mags we all need to feel better about ourselves and I'll admit I was an avid New reader many eons ago.

Inside this issue of NYLON there was only one image of of Rory on his own but it's okay it's okay. It's the Hollywood issue I'm half way through reading, it's 34 pages long and having actually counted I now don't feel to bad about not reading it all yet and now understand I'm no where near half way through... They feature Dakota Blue Richards, Frankie from British skins, Rami Malek the very fit Egyptian lad in Night of the Museum (both films) and the already young comdey genius who never fails to amaze me let alone have me in stitches Will Poulter of School of Comedy.

I really like how the spreads are colourful, I adore the font, theres not so much text and when there is it's always about something or someone you need to know about and I love the fact that in their interviews they receive interesting answers such as 'I like weirdos' - 'Jessica Brown-Findlay or 'I just put together a lamp' - Rami Malek.

Manchester Sample Sale

Manchester holds a Sample Sale on the last Saturday of every month. It's where young/established designers can sell their produce to spread the word and make some money. Everything is on discount and sometimes up to 80% so it's a very good place to shop for designer items such as Gio Goi that are not in the stores. Now Gio Goi isn't my cup of tea, although I'll admit I did own a t shirt many years ago, it was still cool to see their clothing mixed up with not so established brands such as Religion.

Every weekend in Manchester they hold a fashion market. Which consists of these cute marques you can wonder in and out of as you please. The owners are friendly and won't badger you into buying things.
Ahh now this is Afflecks Palace! It has been around since 1982 and I've been going since I was 12 so it's pretty special. A once haven to all moshers, a go to place for somewhere to shelter from the rain and then leave with about 12 badges that will probably fall off your bag as soon as you sprint for the bus home. It was some good times. Although they tried to knock it down a few years ago because it was falling apart, it was a safety hazard, but we protested and it hasn't. But because of this there are hardly any shops in there as all the good ones moved when they thought they were to be binned out and are no replaced with some still good but not the original stores. So it's not as fun. And I got shouted at for taking photos in there hence the lack of images. It's not that good anyway now so take that.

A newish venue which is opened at the side of Afflecks. Which I also got turned away from for Naboo, Mike Fielding's DJ set. That was a dark day.

This is to the side of Afflecks, if you can tell what it is please tell me I've been trying to figure it out myself for years.

They've updated their website loads since I last looked, you'll love it click here.

The signage to the Sample Sale below some pretencions bar.

There were a lot of maxis, florals, dip dyes and sequins. It was very high street but for a bargain who can complain. I didn't buy anything myself as everything was kinda samely but it was pretty lovely overall.
This brand Religion I am very interested in. There are plentiful strips for the men's and lots of rock n roll imagery for the girls. This brand really stood out in the dimly lit room in a good way. It was edgy and wearable in the casual sense.

My friend Kyle and I were wondering whether the above was for men or women so we decided men cos it was in the men's rack but I would wear this!

The white pattern was actually beaded onto and though I'm not sure what it's suppose to be it was made well and the jersey material was of an acceptable quality in my books. I have to have good jersey otherwise it just doesn't feel right. We'll talk about my polyester phobia another time.

The jewelery was my favourite part!

As you can see there was plenty of it. There was no real signage as too who designed each piece but there were staff on hand to ask. The long silver necklaces and the turquoise rings are what stood out for me. To layer a couple of silver necklaces and anything turquoise preferably a ring is such a simple summer look but always looks great. Its a good way of showing off you're personality in a dress or vest that sometimes I feel suffocated in. And I'm pretty obsessed with my turquoise ring I bought from Camden market!

Overall this sample sale is one of the many things Manchester has to offer in the Fashion community and I look forward to discovering more of them!

NYLON+SCRE4M Rory and Emma

E M M A  ROBERTS + R O R Y  CULKIN

If you have seen SCRE4M then you will recognise EMMA and RORY. I for one watched Scream 4 last night and I can say there is something definitely different about these two individuals. They have character and charisma, well Rory has. I thought Emma overacted a little but it kind of fitted her role, erratic, however I did find myself repeating 'you cannot act, you cannot act' in certain parts of the film.

My obsession with NYLON magazine is growing by the day. So you can imagine I was very happy when I discovered that they was on the cover! You can definitely tell Rory is related, via looks, to the Home Alone kid, Macaulay Culkin, his brother. Though Rory has hes own charisma and I'm definitely attracted to film nerds after watching him in Scream hahaha

There was a comment on the NYLON website about magazines choice of cover stars and story:
"These pictures and these kids look so beyond uninteresting and apathetic. It is disgusting that your magazine would promote such "coolness" as the image of our idealized modern youth. Show me someone with creativity and intellectual prowess for once, I dare you. "

I'm not being funny but 'uninteresting' and a lack of 'prowness'?

I believe, NYLON has been very strategic with this cover story and forked out REAL creative, talented individuals with a healthy attainable style and body shape. Instead of placing a generic movie star they've picked up on their charisma you see whilst they're acting. This story only reflects that but with a deeper insight as to what EMMA and RORY are like as REAL people.

I don't understand why cool has anything to do with it. NYLON is clearly promoting them as CREATIVE individuals. The idealised youth is far beyond hoodies and messy hair, they're normal inspiring people. NYLON is obviously the wrong magazine for them, it's about reading in between the lines and feeling apart of something whilst being true to yourself. It promotes talent, confidence and style without labels - which is probably what they call 'uninteresting'.

I think they're closed minded.

They're very photogenic but not in the typical format. They're the believable Urban Outfitter kids (models) how I long to be UO kid (person who shops there, lives the photoshopped lifestyle, not a model) but it's so unattainable and untrue. Not everyone can afford ££££ skirts nor can we all skip meals so we look like their models in adorable dresses and chunky heels with cotton socks!

Rory and Emma have depth and texture. They're not only inspiring people that are proud of who they are they have talent but remains as individuals. No one in the world looks exactly like them, think Matt Smith no one looks like him either, and its about time because Zac Efron (previously on NYLON) is pretty but I'm so attracted to RORY right now it's unbelievable.

I think finally the world is embracing individual quirkiness. Be yourselves!

I for one am feeling more confident and that's just over the past couple of days.
I'm no longer afraid of what people think of how high I backcomb my hair or what jacket I put on or if my nails are chipped. It's who I am and what I want to portray, I'm embracing myself by expressing my personality. I'm not being ruled by what anyone else thinks and it feels like a huge weight has been lifted of my shoulders.

Thank you NYLON!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992)

Contains Spoiler's!

Buffy the Vampire Slayer movie (1992) has the most catchy soundtrack in the world. Randomly you will be trying to revise for English Language and one of their awesome songs used in the movie will pop into your head! I love it. When I was younger I was pretty morbid and into all things Buffy, Hocus Pocus and Beetlejuice, I actually used to think I was a vampire and asked my mum to call me Wednesday (from the Adams Family.. I know, she didn't)

The white shirt, matte leather biker jacket easily oozing badboy charm (lets face it he rides a motor bike) and the cutest hair you ever did see you can't help but love Pike!

I don't care how many times I watch Buffy the movie I will always cry when Merrick dies.

When Kurt Cobain checks were cool.
I love the 90's it was when denim was your best friend, who only looked better with age.

I'm a Luke Perry fan girl.

Is it odd that I'm inspired by his hair?

Dip Dye

The dip dye trend is nothing new but never fails to lift up a persons spirits, I love it.

I was in town yesterday with friends and Chelsea was buying her lilac dye - like above - when I got a sudden urge to buy some myself. I think it's because the colour chart was so bright! I opted for a tulip colour to see if it would even pick up in my hair with it being brown.

Safe to say it has although compared to the images above not so bright. But it wasn't a bright colour anyway so perhaps that's something I could experiment with later. Its not even like a dip dye as in hello I'm dipping some hair into this colour it's just like a tint, I don't like it too neat i prefer it when it looks uneven and just grown up, so that's the look I was aiming for.

I really like it it's such a weird contrast and it was fun dying my hair again! I dyed it black for like 3 years and it took forever to colour it back to a nice colour so I think my hairdresser Danielle Ryan might not be best pleased... fear not, it's semi permanent!

Princess Beatrice's hat

Controversy rumbles over Princess Beatrice's - Philip Treacy - hat, worn to the royal wedding today, over Facebook. The page ' Princess Beatrice's Ridiculous Royal Wedding Hat' has attracted nearly 19,000 likes on Facebook, since the wedding had ended.

Not that it really matters what Facebook lurkers think, it might just be me but if it's not mocking a great architectural hat it's the other creations of not so humorous pages like... 'Pippa Middleton is single - Prince Harry likes this. ' or 'The awkward moment when the ring doesn't fit on Kate Middleton's finger.' or 'Kate and William are having sex tonight, and the whole world knows.' it goes on, sometimes more explicit and mostly farther from being funny.

The only appropriate one with a mere 14,000 likes is 'The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge'. It might just be me, but I don't find them funny in the slightest. I could say it's a reflection of a generation of degenerates but I wont because it's not mostly true, perhaps just the people who spend 3/4 of their day on Facebook.

I don't know about you but I am a huge fan of what Princess Beatrice is wearing. Yes, even the hat. The colours match perfectly and I love the Valentino Haute Couture, she looks like a tiny doll. There were some complaints that her make up was heavy but it's just a smokey eye, everything else is natural even down to her hair. Which has been styled to look so effortlessly elegant. I'll admit perhaps not all appropriate for a royal wedding but either way it's a great hat.

What do you think? Is it a ridiculous hat or is there no better opportunity to share a wondrous hat like this, even if it happens to be at a royal wedding that just so happens to be in front of millions?

PHILIP TREACY - Gondola HatPHILIP TREACY - Gondola HatPHILIP TREACY - Large Plate HatPHILIP TREACY - Lurex Loop HeaddressPHILIP TREACY - Beano FascinatorPHILIP TREACY - Feather Quill Cocktail Hat

If you happen to have £2000 spare why not look at buying your own Philip Treacy hat, I have a feeling Harry's going to tweet me back any day now.

Prince William and Princess Catherine

Kate, now Princess Catherine, chose Alexander McQueen for her royal wedding dress today. Sarah Burton envisioned and crafted the perfect dress for Kate and the nation. The train, the tiara the Queen lent Kate, the beautiful bouquet, the silks, it reflects everything Kate is and will be; a modern Princess with traditionally values and beauty.

Personally, on twitter last night, I longed for Kate to have a sweeping veil in the softest material, a longish train as you can see below and no bitty embellishments such as feathers.

The bouquet must be modest and the Queen should wear yellow. The Queen in fact did wear yellow with a great hat to match, no meringue-ness, very fuss free.

Kate chose McQueen for their traditional craftsmanship and quality expertise of dress making. She knew that a McQueen dress would be unique, powerful, romantic, feminine and magical. Everything a Princess is and needs to feel on the biggest day of her life.

There was no one else who could of made a better dress than Sarah Burton. I cried when I saw the dress just because it's not only stunning and Kate looks so perfect, it's that Alexander McQueen shall now always be remembered throughout the world, throughout history. Even people in the darkest corners who cuss at fashion will know the Princess' dress was a McQueen.

Alexander never got to see it but his name lives on tremendously. Everything he was lives on through Sarah Burton. With her vision and her skills and her experience and knowledge of the brand - this is why Kate is wearing a McQueen dress today.

It truly is a magical moment for both the world and fashion.

Did you know that Sarah Burton is from Manchester? Get in!

Kate's sister Philippa is wearing a bridesmaid dress also made by Sarah Burton, how could you not guess. It's perfect fit and amazing silk crepe material is just simply stunning down to very detail.

The womanly figure McQueen continues to reproduce is that of a goddess and that is what both sisters seamlessly represented today.

The best moment when her father completed the task of walking her down that aisle handing her over to her rightful future. It's such a personal moment, just look at their faces.

William reveals Kate of any nerves just would have felt with a simple 'you look beautiful'. It's their youthful, modern charm that made this ceremony so relaxed. Catherine's parents look extremely proud of their daughter, its such a sight to see.

I'm not going to bore on with the details as noted in more factual articles - I've been using the telegraph as my go to guide.

Just watch it, enjoy it, take it all in.

It's just what we all needed.

The nation is so proud!

Congratulations to Prince William and Princess Catherine!
